Canine Good Citizen Class
| At Dog School 101, we are American
Kennel Club approved evaluators for the Canine Good Citizen
Test.
The Canine Good Citizen class brings your dog's basic obedience skills to the next level. This class teaches increased distances of the stay command, higher levels of distraction training, and improved public manners. During the class, we will go on a field trip to a local park to demonstrate your dog's newly learned skills. The Canine Good Citizen Certificate prepares you to participate in the Happy Tails pet therapy program and the Delta Society Pet Partners therapy program to visit hospitals and nursing homes with your dog. In class, we teach your dog to wear costumes for pet therapy as well as practice specific exercises that will familiarize your dog with pet therapy. The Canine Good Citizen test is administered during the course. |
